UB4 — Yeading's estates, maisonettes and semis, the Yeading Brook and the Northolt edge.
Yeading is the part of UB4 most often written off by firms that have never worked it, and it is among the easier places on our patch to move in and out of.
The estates
Substantial ex-council housing, built with generous rooms, wide internal doorways and proper communal stairs — better to move in than a great deal of newer, smarter-looking stock. Where there is a lift we check whether it takes furniture rather than assuming.
The maisonettes
Common here, and their own kind of job. An external stair to a first-floor front door means everything is carried outside before it is carried inside, which changes the covering, the vehicle position and what happens in the rain. Parking and access
Wide estate roads with standing on most of them. A few of the older courts are tighter than they look on a map and want a photograph at survey.

Are the estates hard work?
Not usually. Generous rooms, wide internal doorways and proper communal stairs. The maisonettes with external stairs are the ones we look at first.
Is there parking?
Generally yes — the estate roads are wide and there is standing. A few of the older courts are tighter and want a look.
Do you go into Northolt?
To the edge. Northolt has its own coverage on our network and we work up to it rather than through it.
