Removals in Hayes Town

Hayes Town is the busiest part of UB3 and the part with the most rules. Everything else on the patch is easier, which is worth knowing when you compare a quote for here against one for a residential road half a mile out.

The centre

Loading restrictions along Station Road and around the station, controlled parking on several of the roads nearby, and flats above the shops reached by a shared street door and a stair fitted around the business below. Early starts and an agreed loading point, and it runs perfectly well.

The factory quarter

The old industrial buildings along Blyth Road and towards the canal have become some of the best flats in Hayes — high ceilings, big windows, generous rooms. They also tend to have exactly one goods lift serving everybody, so the move is booked into a slot rather than improvised. We arrange that with the building manager, and it wants doing a fortnight out.

The canal

Where a property backs onto the Grand Union, vehicle access sometimes runs the long way round. It is never a problem once known, and always a problem when discovered on the morning — a photograph at survey settles it.

Interwar terraces and semis, ex-council houses and maisonettes. The maisonettes want the external stair looked at first — see flats and maisonettes.
